"The client wanted to create a barbecue area in the garden that could accommodate the entire family for gatherings," this was the core demand that the client expressed when they approached IKE STEEL. The owner's private garden was spacious, but lacked well-organized outdoor functional areas. Previously, when having small gatherings with friends, they were often limited by the elements. To address this issue, the IKE STEEL team, in line with the client's desire for "balance between practicality and aesthetics", customized a 10-meter by 7-meter pergola. We transformed the unused corner of the garden into an exclusive entertainment space. From the client's preferences recorded during the on-site survey regarding lighting and movement lines, to the integration of the client's favorite modern minimalist style in the scheme design, the entire process was centered around the client's needs. This ensured that the final product precisely met the client's expectations.
The client placed great emphasis on the durability and comfort of the outdoor space. Therefore, the framework of the pavilion was made of high-strength aluminum alloy - this choice not only responded to the client's requirement of "withstanding wind and rain and long-term use", but also echoed their preference for modern aesthetics with its simple lines. The 10-meter by 7-meter space planning perfectly met the client's needs: it could accommodate the client's self-provided large barbecue grill, and also reserved areas for placing a lounge sofa and dining table. Now, every weekend, the client invites friends to gather here. Large barbecue parties or family dinners for over ten people are all handled smoothly, completely solving the problem of the cramped outdoor gathering space, and making the garden truly become a place to enjoy joy.
The detailed design of the pavilion has also won high praise from the client: The semi-transparent structure on the top is to respond to the client's demand of "providing shelter from rain while not being stuffy", which not only blocks the scorching sun and rain showers but also retains natural lighting; The adjustable side curtains meet the client's need for a private atmosphere. When friends and relatives gather, they can pull them up to block external disturbances. The anti-slip floor treatment is suitable for the situation where there are elderly people and children in the client's home, and the hidden wiring facilitates the client to connect outdoor lights and barbecue equipment， completely eliminating the inconvenience of use.
